The IMA Quarterly: Q4 2008 page 2
This new premium module, available also as part of your EMR Subscription, incorporates the features of our other Integrated Modules as well as a new range of management controls for CDT programs. The new features within the CDT application include:
- Ability to review individual client attendance and reimbursement for a month.
- Facility to audit the code-switching algorithm as the hours accumulate within the month.
- Identification of situations where services were entered after the consolidation and thus may not be properly charged.
- Tracking related to the new Medicaid rule that requires a UT override when a client reaches 156 billable days in one year.
Integrated CDT Module
Additional features for this module are currently in development and will become available in future releases:
- Facility for easy changes to entered visits, including visits entered after the consolidation.
- Clinical compliance tracking for the bi-weekly progress note, treatment plan, and reported group attendance as compared with the treatment plan.
- New billing algorithm to meet upcoming regulatory changes as a result of the SOMH implementation of the second round of 2008-2009 budget cuts ordered by the Governor.
- It is expected that these new rules will allow only Full or Half day rates with specific new requirements
for each and will become effective on January 1, 2009.
- Changes will impact both Article 31 and Article 28 licensed providers of CDT services.
- The logic for the new rules will be implemented in this module as soon as it is finalized and officially announced.
This is another new integrated premium module, also available to EMR subscribers, that was designed specifically for New York City mental health providers.
Medicaid pays for transportation within the city via distribution of Metrocards. Providers are reimbursed from MD or the Managed Medicaid Company for all cards distributed to clients. In order to get paid, the agency needs to track the clients that received the cards and also have each one sign a form every time they receive a card.

NYC Metrocards Module
This new module facilitates and controls the major functions related to Metrocards:
- Identification of clients who are eligible for these cards.
- Assignment of the Payor source which may be either Medicaid or a specific Managed Medicaid company.
- Automatically determine and display the Medicaid eligibility utilizing the IMA companion EMEVS eligibility module.
- Facilitate distribution and tracking of the cards either at the Front Desk when dealing with outpatients, or special distribution procedures for CDT programs.
- Generate pre-printed signature forms with client name and ID for clients to sign when they get a card.
