The Development SIG
The Special Interest Group (SIG) was organized for the purpose of collaborative development of new software for the IMA Desktop.
The SIG members have been meeting regularly to define and specify new features for the IMA Desktop and have them developed by IMA. IMA's Development Special Interests Group (SIG) is proud to release its first two deliverables of 2004! The IMA Screen Generator and IMA Forms Generator debuted to rave reviews, enthusiastic SIG members and a waiting crowd of end-users. The development of this functionality opens the system up to an even higher level of customization.
The IMA Screen Generator allows for real-time previews of the work being done. Use our easy displays to alter fields' placement, content, even existence. All changes are saved to a temporary file unless the Save button is indicated. We are happy to demonstrate this new module to non-SIG members at your request.
The IMA Forms Generator provides the end user with the ability to create fully customized print documents, including logos and formatted layout and merge them with Client and Program specific information currently stored in all of your Databases.
The following is a brief outline of the operating principles for this SIG:
- The software developed by the SIG will be incorporated into the IMA Desktop as Premium modules with the price to be determined by IMA. SIG members will, however, be able to acquire all SIG produced software at no charge.
- The membership fees of the first 5 founding members established an initial development budget of $60,000 which includes a $30,000 matching contribution from IMA.
- It was agreed that the full budget must be spent during the next 12 months, that at least one meeting of the membership per month will take place either FTF or via a Webinar or Conference Call, and that a minimum of one deliverable per quarter will be planned.
