IMA Desktop Technical Specifications

Some of the technical features of the system are:

• Open System Hardware The IMA Desktop is offered on a variety of platforms. These include the Intel family, Power PC and the rest of IBM's RS6000 line.
  
  
• Open System SoftwareThe IMA Desktop runs on the UNIX and AIX family of operating systems. The system interfaces seamlessly with a DOS or Windows workstations via any network (Novell Netware, Windows NT, TCP/IP) or Telnet.
  
  
• Application Language The programs are written in "C" and "C++" languages. (These are considered the "industrial strength" tools among developers of popular, technically sophisticated software.)

• Report Generator The IMA report generator is a sophisticated and powerful software tool allowing non-technical users to create reports as well as ASCII or DIF formats that can then be exported into any PC spreadsheet or database program.
