Release Notes for v14 Service Pack 3 (v14.3)

Overview

Service Pack 3 includes the new billing engine for HIPAA Transactions. Along with this significant enhancement, this service pack also contains other new features along with patches for issues, problems, and suggestions that have come up since the previous release. There is no corresponding Desktop client software update.

HIPAA Billing Enhancements

The IMA system was enhanced to support electronic billing with the new mandated HIPAA Transactions. To accomplish this, new databases were built along with screens to populate these databases. Also Included in these enhancements are changes based on suggestions collected during the IMA HIPAA Transactions Seminars in July.

The HIPAA Billing changes are as follows:

1. New screens for defining HIPAA Receivers
2. New screens for defining HIPAA Payers
3. New screens for defining HIPAA Service Locations
4. Links from Programs to Payers
5. Taxonomy dB and link to Staff
6. New Desktop interface for X12 Remittance processing

Database Changes

Some database changes have been made in response to HIPAA Transactions requirements and customer requests and requirements. They are as follows:

System Administration

1. New dB for identifying HIPAA Receivers
2. New dB for identifying HIPAA Payers
3. New dB for identifying HIPAA Service Locations
4. New dB for identifying Taxonomy Codes

Staff

1. Added Credentials field
2. Added Taxonomy code field

Other Enhancements

1. New license display and cleanup program for both character and Desktop licenses
2. New Desktop Events
3. New Executive Desktop Menu for a lookup of relevant data and statistics
4. Live interface with AIDS Institute for URS Reporting
