v14 Release Notes

• Multiple billing batches: Until now, only a single billing batch could be used at a time. Only after the current batch was generated or cleared could a new batch be created. This limitation has now been removed. Each billing batch is now saved individually with it's own ID number. All reports and information about the contents, date range, creator, and billing files that where created are saved under this ID number. Medicaid and Medicare submission files are also now associated with the billing batch number to allow for better lookup and tracking. This new structure will also allow us to begin adding new reporting and tracking options over the next few releases.
• IMA Desktop: A new version of billing programs has been created to allow the billing process to be done from within the IMA Desktop.
• Electronic Private Insurance billing: Electronic PI billing can be submitted to MD-Online instead of printing HCFA forms. This will soon be expanded to allow electronic submissions to other companies.
• Client billing: New selection criteria were added to client statements (co-pay, self pay), and a new option for client invoices was created that will print a bill for a specified date range. Paid invoices can be included in this printing.
• Miscellaneous changes were made to HCFA and UB92 printing formats to resolve open requests and issues.
• Managed care: A new managed care tracking screen was created and a new level of integration was added with the front desk check-in module of the IMA Desktop.
• EMEVS: A new option was added to allow for manual entry of eligibility queries for checking changes in eligibility status for old dates of service.
